Low-Key Locksmith is a small, owner-operated mobile locksmith. We collect as little personal information as we can get away with, we do not sell it, and this website itself stores nothing you type into it. This policy explains what that means in practice.

01

Who we are

Low-Key Locksmith ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://lowkeyut.com and provides mobile locksmith services in Weber County, Box Elder County, and Davis County, Utah.

You can reach us about anything in this policy by phone or text at 385-436-0353, or by email at dispatch@lowkeyut.com.

02

Information you give us directly

When you call, text, or email us to request service, you typically give us some or all of the following:

  • Your name and the phone number or email address you contacted us from.
  • The service address, or the location where your vehicle is parked.
  • Vehicle details — year, make, model, and sometimes the VIN — when the job involves car keys.
  • A description of the lock, door, or hardware involved, including photos if you send them.
  • Identification and proof of ownership, occupancy, or authorization, which we are required to verify before opening any vehicle or property.

We use this information to quote the job, dispatch a technician, complete the work, take payment, and provide a receipt. We also keep enough of it to honor warranty claims and to answer questions if you call back later about work we did.

03

Identification and verification records

Verifying that you are entitled to access a vehicle or property is a core safety practice, not an optional formality. A technician may view your photo identification and a document tying you to the vehicle or address.

Our practice is to view and verify these documents rather than to retain copies of them. Where a record of verification is kept — for example, a note that identification was checked and what type of document it was — it is kept as part of the job record described below.

04

Information collected automatically

This website is a static site with no accounts, no logins, and no advertising trackers. We do not set marketing or analytics cookies.

Our hosting provider automatically processes standard technical data in the course of serving pages to you, which typically includes:

  • Your IP address and approximate region derived from it.
  • Your browser type, operating system, and device class.
  • The pages you requested, timestamps, and the referring page.

This data is generated by the hosting infrastructure for security, abuse prevention, and reliability purposes. We do not use it to build a profile of you and we do not combine it with the information you give us by phone.

05

The quote form on this site

The quote request form on our contact page does not submit to a server. It assembles the details you enter into a pre-filled text message or email and hands that off to your own device's messaging or mail application.

Nothing you type into that form is transmitted to, or stored by, this website. The information reaches us only if you choose to press send in your own app, at which point it becomes an ordinary text message or email as described above.

06

How we use information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Quote, schedule, dispatch, and complete locksmith work you requested.
  • Verify that you are authorized to access the vehicle or property in question.
  • Take payment and issue receipts, including itemized receipts you can submit to a roadside assistance or insurance plan.
  • Honor warranty and callback obligations on work we performed.
  • Respond to your questions, and keep records required for ordinary business and tax purposes.

We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your having asked for that.

07

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or lead-generation networks. Notably, we are not part of any national locksmith dispatch network, so your job details are not resold to third-party contractors.

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Payment processing. Card transactions are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Service providers. Our website host, phone carrier, and email provider process data incidentally in the course of providing those services to us.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a person or property.
  • Business transfer. If the business is sold or transferred, customer records may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
08

How long we keep it

Job records — what work was done, where, when, for whom, and what was charged — are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary for warranty, accounting, tax, and legal purposes.

Casual inquiries that do not result in a job (a text asking for a price, for example) are not retained systematically and are typically discarded in the ordinary course.

09

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Job records are kept on access-controlled devices and accounts used by the business.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you would prefer not to send sensitive information by text or email, tell us and we will take it by phone instead.

10

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to records we are required to keep for warranty, tax, or legal reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have specific statutory rights — including under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act for Utah residents, and under state privacy laws elsewhere. We extend the substance of these rights to anyone who asks, regardless of residency, because the simpler policy is easier to keep honest.

To make a request, call or text 385-436-0353 or email dispatch@lowkeyut.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request about specific records.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of in that respect.

11

Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12

Text messaging

If you text us, we will text you back about your job. Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply.

We do not run marketing text campaigns. If you ever receive an unwanted message from us, reply STOP or simply tell us, and it will stop.

13

Links to other sites

This site may link to third-party websites — for example, a mapping service or a manufacturer's page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not cover them.

14

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version, which was last revised on August 18, 2026.

Questions about this policy, or about information we hold: call or text 385-436-0353, or email dispatch@lowkeyut.com. We are based in Ogden, Utah and operate as a mobile service without a walk-in storefront.

This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. Business owners should have counsel review any published policy against their actual data practices and applicable law before relying on it.
