A dealership will order your key, schedule you out several days, and expect you to get the car to them. We come to the car, cut the key, and program it in your driveway or the parking lot you are standing in. Most automotive jobs finish in a single visit.
Each of these is a job we do routinely, not a keyword list. If what you need is not here, call and ask — the answer is usually yes, and if it is not, we will tell you who to call instead.
Non-destructive entry using proper wedges, air bladders, and long-reach tools — not a coat hanger and not a slim jim on a car with side-curtain airbags. Weatherstripping, paint, and door frames stay intact. If a child or pet is locked inside, call 911 first, then call us.
02
Lost car key replacement
All keys lost is not the end of the road. We decode the lock or pull the key code from the vehicle identification number, cut a new key on site, and program it to the car. Bring your registration or title and a photo ID — we verify ownership before we make a key for any vehicle.
03
Key fob and remote programming
Push-to-start proximity fobs, flip keys, and remote head keys programmed to your vehicle on site. We also handle add-a-key jobs, which is worth doing before you are down to one — a spare programmed now costs a fraction of an emergency all-keys-lost call later.
04
Transponder and chip keys
Nearly every vehicle built after the late 1990s uses a transponder chip that has to be married to the immobilizer. A key cut without programming will turn the lock and never start the car. We do both.
05
Ignition repair and replacement
A key that sticks, catches, or will not turn is usually a worn wafer set or a failing ignition cylinder, not a bad key. We diagnose it properly and repair or replace the cylinder rather than guessing.
06
Broken key extraction
Keys snap in door locks, trunks, and ignitions. We extract the broken half without damaging the cylinder and cut you a fresh key from the remaining half or from code.
07
Motorcycle, RV, and fleet keys
Motorcycles, campers, box trucks, and work fleets are all in scope. For fleets we keep programmed spares on record so a lost key does not idle a truck for a day.

In most cases, yes. We can decode the lock or use the vehicle identification number to originate a key, then cut and program it on site. It takes longer than duplicating an existing key, and it costs more, but it is almost always faster and cheaper than towing to a dealership.
Do you program push-to-start proximity fobs?
Yes. Proximity fobs for push-to-start vehicles are programmed on site for most makes. Tell us the year, make, and model when you call so we bring the right blank and the right programmer.
What proof of ownership do you need?
Photo ID plus a registration, title, or insurance card matching the vehicle. This is not a formality we can waive — making a key for someone who does not own the car is theft, and we do not do it.
Is a locksmith cheaper than the dealership for car keys?
Usually, and the gap widens once you factor in towing. Dealerships often quote the key, the programming, and the tow separately. We quote one on-site number before we dispatch.
